How Far Can You Toss A Set Of Dice?

Okay, here is a question for you… what is the farthest anyone has ever tossed some backgammon dice? I think if I tried right now I could throw a set of dice about 60 feet, maybe 75 or more. But, what is the world record for farthest anyone has ever thrown some backgammon dice?

I don’t know what the record is right now but if Backgammon Masters, an online backgammon game operator, has their way they will be holding the record soon. Backgammon Masters made their name promoting online backgammon play but have since moved on to other games as well. They have now applied for a Guinness World Record for farthest dice tossed. Their idea is to have two world class backgammon players, champions in fact, toss custom made inflatable dice from a helicopter while flying high above a 1-acre outdoor field that has been fashioned into a huge backgammon board. This should be quite the accomplishment and something to see.
